Fourth of July Picnic at the Fort

Come out to Fort Defiance on the Fourth of July to participate in a traditional Independence Day Celebration. The event will include hamburgers and hot dogs, traditional music tours of the historic home, honors to the nation, and recitations of the Declaration of Independence and General Lenoir’s Independence Day Speech. The gates to the site will open at 10:00 am. The program will begin at 11:00 am and food will be served immediately afterwards. Presale tickets will be $17.00 for adults and $15.00 for children aged 6-14. Tickets bought the day of the event will be $20.00 for adults and $17.00 for children. Tickets for members of Fort Defiance will be $10.00.
